Breaking, also known as break dancing, is a competition for men and women.
Dancers combine strength, agility, and creativity. It is the first dance sport ever included in an Olympic Games.

Moves are performed to music, played by a DJ, and include moves such as “headspins,” “windmills” and “freeze”. In a freeze, the breakers freeze in poses while using their heads or hands for support. In competition breakers don’t know what music will be played so they must quickly make their moves fit with the beat and the timing of the music.

Judges vote for the performance they think is the best.

Breaking is a style of dance which began in the United States of America in the 1970s.
